Job Summary
Sanders Pools and Spas is seeking a skilled and experienced Swimming Pool Builder & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial swimming pools. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in pool construction, equipment installation, and routine maintenance, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
*The ideal candidate should have their own transportation as a company vehicle is NOT provided. It is strongly recommended the candidate has a truck, van, or SUV. Mileage reimbursement is offered.
Duties & Responsibilities
Pool Construction & Installation:
- Construct and install in-ground and above-ground pools, including excavation, framing, and plumbing.
- Install pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems.
- Apply concrete, tile, and other finishing materials to pool surfaces.
- Perform plumbing and electrical work related to pool systems.
- Ensure all construction complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Pool Maintenance & Repairs:
- Conduct routine maintenance, including water chemistry testing, cleaning, and equipment inspections.
- Diagnose and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing systems.
- Identify and resolve leaks, cracks, and structural issues in pools and surrounding areas.
- Perform seasonal pool openings and closings.
Customer Service & Safety Compliance:
- Educate clients on pool care, water chemistry, and equipment operation.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while on-site.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair services performed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in construction, engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of pool plumbing, electrical systems, and water chemistry.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment used in pool installation and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
