Dealership Auto Technician

We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our car dealership’s service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. $60,000 - $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step-by-step approach
• Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more
• Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes
• Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs
• Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools

• Verify customer concerns, isolate the source of the problems using testing procedures, correct the problem, and verify proper repairs were performed.
• Communicate testing procedures, test results, and expected results to Service Advisors.

Qualifications:

• GED or high school diploma is mandatory
• Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
• Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary
• ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive
