Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced general and specialized Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for our customers. You will work with a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, ect. And will use your technical expertise to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair Mechanical Issues:
Perform comprehensive inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical problems in engines, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and other components of vehicles. - Preventative Maintenance:
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and air system maintenance to ensure trucks operate efficiently. - Repair and Replace Parts:
Replace or repair defective components such as tires, brakes, steering mechanisms, axles, and other truck parts as required. - Troubleshooting Electrical and Electronic Systems:
Diagnose and repair electrical and computerized systems, including wiring, lighting, and diagnostic systems, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. - Conduct Road Tests:
After performing repairs or maintenance, conduct road tests to verify vehicle performance, handling, and safety. - Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations:
Follow safety protocols and ensure that all repairs and services are completed in accordance with safety standards and industry regulations. - Maintain Service Records:
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on trucks. Document the cause of any issues and the steps taken to resolve them.
- Customer Communication:
Interact with customers or service advisors to explain diagnoses, repairs, costs, and timelines. Provide recommendations for additional maintenance or repairs based on vehicle condition. - Maintain Clean and Organized Work Area:
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. - Training and Development:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in heavy truck technologies and repair techniques. Attend training programs and certification courses as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training.
- ASE certification preferred.
- Ability to work indecently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a certified automotive technician.
o Strong knowledge of Ford models, engines, and electrical systems. (preferred)
o Familiarity with Ford-specific diagnostic tools and equipment. (plus)

- Applicable to Heavy Truck Technicians only
- Certification in heavy truck or diesel engine repair (e.g. ASE, EVT, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with heavy trucks or diesel engines in a service or repair environment.

- Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmission systems, suspension, and electrical components in heavy-duty trucks.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment used in truck repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy parts, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in a workshop environment.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
