What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Driver position at Sanderson Automotive Group?
The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering parts to mechanical repair and collision shops quickly and safely, as well as assisting in consolidating buy-outs for outgoing deliveries when there are no deliveries to be made.
Responsibilities:
- Transport parts and invoices to customers
- Ask customers if they have any returns or cores that need to be processed
- Inspect your delivery vehicle weekly and give status report to warehouse manager
- Assist in reviewing large amounts of parts and invoices that need to be directed to areas of the warehouse
Job Requirements:
- Full-time position Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day with a 30-minute lunch
- Every third Saturday from 8AM to 3PM as needed
- Must use Elite EXTRA driver application on personal cell phone when clocked in and keep it open during the day for GPS tracking and communication
- Computer use required for consolidation portion of job – must be proficient
- Prior automotive parts / service experience preferred, but not required
- Team oriented
- Flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Valid driver's license (subject to Insurance approval)
- Must have clean driving record
- Background check and drug test required – this is a safety-sensitive position
