Sanderson Ford is looking for a responsible and hardworking cashier to join the Service Department. The Cashier will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive customer relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets customers as they enter the location.
- Accepts money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for services purchased.
- Assists customers with questions.
- Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
- Identifies prices of services.
- Assists customers in resolving complaints or providing information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers and calculators.
- Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
- Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
