Job Summary:
The Food Runner at the exclusive private Beach Club is responsible for delivering food and beverages to members and their guests promptly and accurately. This seasonal position plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience by supporting the wait staff and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and work areas.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for special events as required.
- Support the team in maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move trays and items up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to serve guests and clean tables.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including sun, heat, and occasional rain.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a food runner or in a food and beverage role preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as this is a seasonal position.
