Job Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department by overseeing various HR functions, including but not limited to human resource generalist functions, foreign labor acquisition, employee housing contracts, and benefits administration. Back up payroll processing, as needed. This position ensures compliance with labor laws, company policies, and best practices to support an engaged and productive workforce.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Foreign Labor Acquisition & Employee Housing:
- Manage and support the recruitment and onboarding of foreign labor (H-2B, J-1, and other visa programs).
- Coordinate with external agencies, attorneys, and government entities to ensure compliance with visa and immigration requirements.
- Assist with securing and managing contracts for employee housing, ensuring compliance with agreements and maintaining positive relationships with housing providers.
- Serve as a point of contact for international employees regarding housing, work authorization, and transition support.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, employee support, and compliance with benefits regulations.
- Work closely with insurance providers and brokers to manage benefits offerings, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Be the back-up for payroll processing in absence of HRD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.
HR Compliance, Auditing & Employee Relations:
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Audit HR data, payroll records, and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Support HR leadership in investigations, policy updates, and training initiatives.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits programs.
Other HR Functions:
- Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
- Support HR audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or related HR functions.
- Experience with foreign labor programs (H-2B, J-1, etc.) preferred.
- Prior experience with payroll processing and benefits administration required.
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now is highly desired.

- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices, including wage laws and immigration regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll and HRIS software; experience with ADP or similar systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to audit and analyze HR data, payroll records, and spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to travel between resort locations and off-site housing properties as needed.
- Must be able to work in an office setting with frequent computer use.
