About the Role
The primary focus of the Commercial Glazier is to perform the safe and successful installation of Aluminum Window, Store Front, and Curtain Wall systems for commercial projects. This position reports to the Operations Manager - Commercial.
This job operates in a field environment. The work day begins and ends at the company’s office / shop in Roseville, Michigan. This position travels from the shop to customer’s sites throughout the greater Detroit metro area. This involves work both inside and outside customer’s homes or commercial buildings. Overnight travel is very limited. Occasionally during the year there may be a job outside of the Detroit metro area that will require an overnight stay.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. Occasional overtime is required.
Key Responsibilities :

- Installation of glass and other glazing materials
- Installation of storefront aluminum frames and doors
- Installation of hardware and other materials associated with the above items
- Installation of mirrors
- Measuring of openings and glass sizes
- Cut and remove broken glass before installing replacement glass
- Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry glass to and from vehicles to where the glass is to be installed. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may have to work from heights up to 30’ such as climbing a ladder or working from a scaffold.
