Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Geotechnical and Materials Testing Business Unit

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead our Geotechnical and Materials Testing Tucson Business Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, project management, and business development. This role is pivotal in driving the unit's success, ensuring staff development, profitability, and expanding our client base.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to allocate resources effectively and resolve project issues promptly. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of project delivery and workplace safety.
  • Manage the Business Unit’s P&L, ensuring profitability and financial targets are met.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and bid submissions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, and technical staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.

10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or materials testing preferred, with at least 5 years in a project management role.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Proven experience managing complex geotechnical projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Strong business acumen with experience managing P&L and driving business growth.
