We’re looking for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to provide mobile services to our pediatric patients with communication disorders. You will assist with evaluations and treatment for children with speech and language disorders. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, we expect you to be proficient at following an established treatment program, assist with the production of materials as needed, and professionally document clients' progress.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and treatment to patients
- Teach and train patients on different speech sounds and strategies to improve communication skills.
- Record patient progress to document the outcomes of therapy.
- Perform clerical tasks like scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records and preparing treatment materials
- Administer speech therapy in outpatient clinic or in-home setting.
- Maintain contact with other professionals by participating in professional organizations, conferences or continuing education classes.
- Offer emotional support and resources to patients’ families.
