What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Trades Instructor position at Sandhills Community College?
This is a pool for future instructors in our construction Trades classes: NCCER Core, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical and Construction. You will be teaching utilizing NCCER curriculum. The instructor will be responsible for delivering lesson plans, testing students online and offering hands on projects for the students while maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provides instruction in relative material in assigned program
- Maintains attendance roster on a daily basis
- Familiarizes themselves with the Continuing Education Instructor Guide
- Prepares individual and group instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and mediums.
- Maintains classroom and supplies.
- Meets with Director periodically to discuss class schedules, course outline, student progress, special needs, and required materials
- Returns completed roster to director at end of class along with signatures from students and instructor.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction field that you will be teaching.
- Computer experience required and teaching experience a plus.
- NCCER certified trainer preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff, and students.
Salary : $35 - $37
