Summary of Position
The Field Solar Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Solar Photovoltaic (PV) assets. Other job duties include regular scheduled system inspections, warranty claims, construction QA/QC inspections. This position is based out of Sidney, NE. Daily travel will be required to work on other projects between Western NE and Northeast Colorado.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Ensure a safe work environment by strict adherence to company protocols.
· Responsible for personal safety, quality and schedule adherence.
· Comply with Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief, and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures
· Perform quality assurance inspections of completed installations.
· Perform start-up and commissioning for new PV installations, set parameters and monitor performance levels.
· Assist with developing maintenance programs and provide accurate and timely inspection reports.
· Conduct field service to diagnose and repair commercial/industrial PV systems including electrical, mechanical and IT components.
· Strive to ensure proper operations of PV systems.
· Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and all applicable codes and regulations.
· Manage inventory of parts and equipment.
· Complete non-service-related tasks on occasion, i.e. Assist with the scope of ongoing construction projects.
· Additional tasks as assigned by the leadership team (s).

· Working knowledge of industrial or power facility operations and maintenance.
· Proficient in reading and understanding Electrical schematics and prints.
· In-depth experience testing and troubleshooting medium voltage and high voltage equipment including circuit breakers and transformers.
· Valid Drivers license is required with a clean driving background.
· Willing to travel to remote sites and stay on location as needed.
· Ability to be coached and mentored.
Education
· High School or GED. Some College preferred.
Experience
· Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
· At least 2 years of experience electrical troubleshooting (Wind, HVAC, Electrician) PV experience would be beneficial.
· Experience with Microsoft (Word and Excel) and a general computer background.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
