Job Summary
Insurance defense firm seeks a hardworking, organized, professional and positive Paralegal to join our team. We represent a variety of nationally recognized companies in the areas of Bodily Injury, Transportation, Construction, and Premises Liability. This is a great opportunity for Paralegals looking to grow their career and lay down some roots with our firm. We specifically are looking for someone with Minor's Compromise Experience and who pays close attention to detail.
Our ideal applicant is steady under pressure, proactive, and capable of juggling priorities when faced with the rigorous and fast-paced demands of litigation. Client communication is key for this position.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include preparing record summaries, discovery, discovery responses, and disclosures. You will also be responsible for preparing and organizing documents for trial, as well as drafting pleadings and correspondence, and proofreading all such documents. You will be expected to display a thorough understanding of state rules, legal ethics, and professional practice standards.
- Draft Minor's Compensation Petitions
- Communicate with insureds and clients on a regular basis
- Case management from inception through trial/settlement
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence
- Obtain, review, and analyze various records, reports, and other case materials
- Communicate with clients, office staff, and attorneys
- Perform legal research
- Trial preparation as needed

Qualifications
Must have 2 years of related experience that demonstrates analytical and written research capabilities. Must have paralegal certificate in the appropriate jurisdiction. Insurance defense experience preferred. Minor's Comp experience is a plus.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
