Position Summary
Welcomes patrons, seats them at tables and helps ensure quality of facilities and service.
Supervision Exercised
Reports directly to the Council Room Restaurant Manager.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Assigns patrons to tables suitable for their needs.
- Directs patrons to coatrooms and waiting areas such as lounges.
- Greets guests and seats them at tables or in waiting areas.
- Informs patrons of establishment specialties and features.
- Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
- Provides guests with menus.
- Receives and records patrons' dining reservations.

- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate with customers, management and other staff.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene.
Minimum Qualifications, Education And Experience
Preferred
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
Licensing Status
- Must be able to pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
Working Conditions
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
