Position Description

Reports to: Production Manager Classification: Hourly

Position Type: Full-time, 40hrs/wk

Position Overview:

The Production Assistant is responsible for the timely and profitable completion of projects (jobs, service work, other) while ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. Focus on optimizing the customer experience, including regular contact with the customer, ensuring proper installation, attention to detail, and overall efficiency of the construction process. Assist with various tasks to support the Project Manager.

· Adhere to all professional and ethical behavior standards.

· Interact in an honest, trustworthy and respectful manner with employees, customers, contractors, vendors, visitors and other stakeholders.

· Help with maintaining project documentation.

· Uphold all principles of confidentiality to the fullest extent.

· Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as needed.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures.

· Maintain a current insurable driver's license.

Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities:

· Regularly communicate with customers during all phases of all projects.

· Work with Sales department.

· Periodically perform hands-on projects, installations, construction and service work.

· Ensure that all job sites are kept clean and organized every day.

· Assist with the coordination of required inspections with local jurisdictions.

· Schedule and perform site checks for various projects as needed.

· Ensure timely collection of customer payments.

· Ensure all project resources are available when needed (materials, supplies, labor, etc.).

· Maintain vendor relationships.

· Manage warehouse, shipping/receiving, tools, and supplies.

· Coordinate and perform set up and tear down of displays for shows and events.

· Measure and report progress and results.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Ability to adapt to changing project needs & priorities.

· Related hands-on construction and installation job experience.

· High School diploma (equivalent) and relevant experience in lieu of education.

· Ability to work out in the field and in an office environment.

· Ability to manage own time, personnel and resources.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, plans and schematics.

· History of a positive, can do attitude.

· Knowledge and use of construction equipment and tools.

· Ability to use or quickly learn to use applicable computer software tools.

· Experience managing difficult or emotional customer situations, proactively communicating with customers and promptly responding to customer questions/requests.

· Effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication, and team building skills.

· History of excellent attendance record, punctuality, dependability and initiative.

Compensation:

· Will be discussed at interview.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
