Job Description:
The main responsibility of this role is to deliver outstanding service to our current clients while also seizing new business opportunities. As a Commercial Account Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact between our insurance company, agency, and clients. Your daily tasks will involve addressing coverage concerns, managing client accounts, and ensuring all their service needs are met promptly and effectively. You'll also play a crucial role in expanding existing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
· Build and nurture relationships with clients and team members.
· Communicate consistently, accurately, and promptly through verbal and electronic channels.
· Manage daily email and phone inquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
· Develop new business and renewal strategies, including preparing marketing specifications and submission materials, gathering underwriting information, analyzing existing coverage, and making recommendations.
· Stay informed about the current marketplace for account placement, including coverage enhancements, price negotiation, policy terms, and forms.
· Assist clients in making coverage changes, educate them about coverage details, exclusions, exposures, and audits, and maintain accurate electronic documentation.
· Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related items, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
· Review and audit policies for accuracy, facilitate corrections between clients and carriers as needed.
· Handle cancellations thoughtfully and take proactive steps to retain accounts when applicable.
· Renew and re-market accounts according to agency standards.
· Maintain accurate client files in the agency management system (AMS) and adhere to automation procedures for documentation and updates.
· Provide technical support to affiliates and insureds regarding coverage, proposals, suspenses, and other related matters.
· Determine billing methods (agency or direct), invoice accordingly, and arrange financing agreements for agency bill accounts when necessary.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Preferred hospitality insurance experience (bars, taverns & clubs).
- Preferred of 4 years prior insurance experience.
- Current P&C Brokers License.
- Proficiency in insurance coverages with strong working knowledge of complex issues and markets.
- Proficient computer skills particularly with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Zoom and Agency Management System (Hawksoft preferred) & Dropbox.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Highly organized and skilled in multitasking, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage workload independently. Attention to detail is a key strength.
