Job Summary
Receives, inspects, folds, and counts printed garments from end of conveyor at completion of drying cycle. Responsible for accurate counting and packaging of completed jobs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses production software to check daily production schedule to maintain efficiency throughout the work day and meet order due dates.
- Receives job order and count sheets.
- Routinely checks dryer temperature setting, and confirms with temperature indicator tape and/or heat gun thermometer.
- Receive first printed garment of production run and inspect for dryness, crocking and/or cure of ink deposit. Gets approval for production run and informs press operator of production approval.
- By approved sample, receives and compares production run garments, checking for variations in print placement, color registration, or incomplete drying.
- Fold and record numbers of garments on count sheet. Inform press operator or screen printer of misprints.
- Verify final count of sizes in production run, including misprint replacements and any required overruns.
- Complete count sheets for each production order.
- Obtains and sorts printed product.
- Separates apparel to assist in online orders.
- Responsible for combining orders and marking production finished in the folding section.
- Marks completed jobs shipped and places order in appropriate area.
- Verifies quantity to be packed from customer order.
- Selects proper size carton for packaging finished goods.
- Adds marketing materials to boxes before shipping.
- Operates and maintains packaging equipment necessary to pack merchandise.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process.
- Assists, as determined by supervisor, in other areas of the production building( e.g. assisting finishing department, staging, cleaning, etc…).
- On occasion, must work on-site events.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to management, outside resources, and other employees of the organization.
Mathmatical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Some independent travel may be required.
