Sandman Structural Engineers (SSE) is seeking an entry level Structural Engineer. As a Structural Engineer at SSE, you are responsible for performing design work on assigned projects with other engineers and technicians to enable the success of our clients and our people.
Core Responsibilities
1. Design and Technical Work - 90%
Ensure clear and comprehensive designs that comply with current technical standards and regulations.
Key Activities :
- Performs design work
- Prepares portions of project documents
- Edits specifications
- Performs research and investigations
- Assists with structural engineering on projects of all sizes
2. Project Management - 5%
Ensure efficiency, profitability, and on-time delivery of projects leading to high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Activities :
3. Administration - 5%
Keep projects up to date in Ajera to ensure clients are invoiced accurately and SSE is paid in a timely manner.

Compensation : The starting hourly compensation for this role is $32-$35. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, education, and specialized skills.
Environmental Conditions :
Office environment; field environment; construction site environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions when conducting field inspections and investigations.
