General Purpose
Under minimal supervision, collects property information, and determines market value and property valuation for an assigned / specialty appraisal district; works independently to ascertain values for both individual and mass property appraisal, using cost, market, and income approaches to property value; responsible for quality control of work products related to the assigned appraisal district. Reviews market studies, supervises and approves the determination of market value and property valuation; supervises the activities of assigned staff, assigns priorities and workload, resolves technical and personnel issues, assures the quality of work performed and compliance with policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration or a related field and four years of experience in property valuation OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. New Mexico public sector experience is desirable.
- Two years of supervisory experience.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :
Position reports to the Chief Assessment Officer and exercises supervision over Department staff.
