Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting or related field and one (1) year experience in grants administration, management, coordination and writing; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Required Licenses or Certifications : Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico driver's license within 30 days of hire. Other Requirements Ability to maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license Essential Job Functions Researches and applies for local, state, federal and private foundation funding sources for specific projects and programs as assigned; advises, explains, and consults with various departments on the application and monitoring process of grants to ensure successful grant awards and grant compliance.In collaboration with other County staff consistently reviews grant budgets; completes and ensures timely submission of financial reports, billing, and other documents to ensure grant compliance. Writes grant applications as assigned; ensures federal requirements are part of the scope of proposals (i.e. contractors' requirements to comply with State of NM & Federal requirements, ensuring disbarred vendors are not awarded contracts, etc.).Compiles and maintains background information on the culture, economy and demographics of the County related to areas in which a grant is utilized.
