What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Nursing Facility Activity Aide/Restorative Aide position at Sandpiper Healthcare & Rehab Center?
Assists patients to achieve or maintain their highest practicable level of ADL function through consistent, structured, and controlled re-teaching and retraining techniques to promote increased participation in activities of daily living.

- Receives assignment from supervisor and performs duties in accordance with each patient’s detailed plan of care, providing care to patients who are presently receiving restorative ADL nursing interventions.
- Receives training from therapists and supervisors on the restorative techniques and performs techniques
- Checks patients in section regularly; Answers call lights promptly; Follows through with patient problems or needs by delivering care or reporting to Supervisor depending upon level of ability and nature of patient need.
- Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
- Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as Nursing Assistant in good standing. Successful completion of restorative training.
- Ability to communicate with patients and nursing staff.
- Ability to read and write, desirable.
- One-year experience as Nursing Assistant or Physical Therapist Assistant, preferred.
