We want to talk to you if you desire to work with a dynamic and growing Company as an Area Director of Sales for the Bluffton, SC and Charleston, SC markets.
The Area Director of Sales & Marketing will carry out the sales efforts of the two Candlewood hotels (*extended stay hotels*) in South Carolina by soliciting business across all market segments to maximize the overall positioning of the hotels and to meet and/or exceed budgeted revenue, market share and other goals in room, group, meetings and banquets.
* Prefer candidates out of the Charleston, SC area*
Essential Functions:
· Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
· Creatively manages all aspects of the sales and marketing efforts for hotels. Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotels sales generation and optimal revenue growth.
· Promptly prepares correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance/database entry.
· Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.
· Achievement of stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
· Fosters a positive and sales focused team attitude to all departments and maintains open communications with all team members and brand representatives for the best overall performance of the hotels.
· Participates in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
· Time Management to ensure both hotels are successful in meeting revenue goals and provided ample sales support.
· Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
· Forge relationships and build rapport. Cultivate, enhance and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotels and market share awareness and drive business.
Develops/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
Requirements:
· Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
· Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
· Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
· Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads at both hotel level and organizational level
· Must have experience of successfully developing, implementing and benefitting from organizational sales strategies
· Established history of achieving sales goals
· Exhibits professionalism, a service focused approach and an enthusiasm for success
