Job purpose is to ensure the execution of all maintenance systems, equipment and machinery to world class standards meeting and/or exceeding the needs of the business. In addition, the Maintenance Manager must be recognized as a self-starter who possesses the core values of the company and understands the value of teamwork.Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the Maintenance Department, including facilities, utilities, equipment, machinery, personnel, and systems. This position is directly responsible for directing the day to day activities of their direct reports including supervisors, leads, technicians, MRO buyer and the planner/scheduler.
Ownership/management of the maintenance budget and delivering to annual targets given by the business.
Full understanding of all maintenance spend, including tracking of purchases and invoices, and specific accounts.
Ownership of maintenance downtime reduction, monitored by plant performance (OEE/Efficiency).
Build a robust downtime reduction model, which includes metrics and data to support future business decisions and spend.
Effectively monitor mechanic performance, to include maintenance response times and repair times.
Owner of plant on time start-ups from a maintenance downtime perspective. This includes active hands-on floor time during the first 2hrs of the day as needed to achieve a 95% on-time start.
Continuing development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and improve MTBF and MTTR.
Create the annual equipment rebuild plan for the busy season with a timeline and ownership plan. Ensure the plan is 100% executed on time.
Implement programs to identify critical spare parts and improve inventory management for all spare parts storage ensuring organization and accuracy.
Strong understanding and experience with implementing and utilizing CMMS software application for asset management, work order management, labor utilization, spare parts purchasing and inventory management.
Ownership of maintenance safety for all aspects of the maintenance department to include Fatality Prevention Programs (Electrical, Confined Space, LOTO, Fall Protection).
Leads, plans, and executes all Capital Projects for maintenance, by working alongside the Director of Engineering and Maintenance.
Assists in creation of cost-benefit analysis.
Develops measurable leading or lagging indicators.
Create annual plan for equipment rebuilds, replacement, and upgrades utilizing capital funds.
Promoting reduction of MTBF.
Owner of the 5S Program for the maintenance department shop and multiple parts cribs/locations to ensure it is clean and organized at all times.
Develop a written training program to ensure new mechanics are trained properly. Create a tracking system to include testing and follow up with each individual. Spend hands-on time with mechanics as needed to train/teach troubleshooting skills.
Work with Reliability Manager to plan all mechanic work daily and develop a tracking system.
Work with the Reliability Manager to utilize the IOS Board. Ensure daily meetings are held on all shifts to review key metrics.
Develop on-going training for mechanics to improve their knowledge and skills.
Ensure the Sandridge PSM Program (1910.119) is fully compliant to all EPA and OSHA Regulations and that any deficiencies are noted and resolved in a timely manner.
Overall facility ownership for the Medina Plant and Finekost.
Maintenance Planning (Work with Reliability Coordinator to develop program to schedule mechanics work).
Daily/Weekly scheduling of mechanics to include vacations, etc…
Other duties as assigned.
Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability and Productivity. Provide leadership that embodies the Sandridge Company Core Values.

Qualifications
7 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager role preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Good Manufacturing Practices, solid understanding of EPA and OSHA requirements.
Strong analytical and communication skills, proficient with technology and strong organizational skills.
Previous experience in a food service or food manufacturing facility with understand of GMPs and SQF regulations preferred.
Expert computer skills with Microsoft programs, ability to build and maintain spreadsheets/worksheets.
Experience with PLC, HMI, controls programming, industrial controls and maintaining a CMMS.
Strong experience with analyzing data and reports and utilizing critical thinking for implement and driving improvement initiatives.
Experienced working within a continuous improvement culture and program and understanding of lean manufacturing and waste reduction.
Strong experience with completing break down analysis using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques to prevent repeated failures by implementing irreversible corrective actions.
