What You'll Do:
Keep It Clean: Thoroughly clean assigned plant areas, including walls and floors, ensuring every nook and cranny meets our high standards.
Protect and Preserve: Secure equipment and areas from water damage and ensure all tools are in place for the next day.
Follow the Recipe: Use chemicals and soaps effectively to remove dirt and pathogens, and apply sanitizers to kill any remaining bacteria.
Beyond Production: Tackle non-production areas like restrooms, break rooms, and hallways to keep the entire facility spotless.
Dispose with Care: Handle garbage and cardboard disposal properly, maintaining a tidy work environment.
Team Player: Ask questions when in doubt and perform other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
What We're Looking For:
No high school diploma required; previous experience in food plant sanitation is a plus but not necessary.
Basic English skills to complete simple paperwork and communicate issues.
Basic math skills for mixing chemicals.
Ability to understand and follow instructions and solve simple problems.
The Environment:
Work in varying conditions, including cold, hot, and damp areas.
Be prepared for physical activity: standing, walking, bending, stooping, and using ladders throughout your shift.
