Director of Nursing – Lead Our Clinical Team!
Sandstone of Tucson is looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our outstanding clinical team. If you are a compassionate and experienced RN leader committed to delivering exceptional patient care, fostering a strong nursing team, and ensuring regulatory excellence, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and oversee facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage resident referrals and admissions, making determinations for Medicare Part A coverage and discontinuation based on regulations.
- Supervise and ensure accurate documentation of all services provided to residents.
- Oversee Medical Consultants, including Pharmacy, Dietitian, Podiatrist, and Medical Records, ensuring recommendations are properly communicated and documented.
- Monitor and manage nursing-related supplies, equipment, and ancillary charges.
- Serve on various facility committees as appointed by the Administrator.
- Supervise infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs.
- Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff while ensuring ongoing competency through regular training.
- Provide leadership and support to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
