Job Summary:

As such, we are searching for the right candidate to ensure the security of the system infrastructure by implementing industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance related to a major AF Cyber Weapon System. Additional specific requirements follow:
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret (TS) / SCI Eligible with an in-scope (less than 6 years old)
- Hold one active DoD IAT 8570 Level II Certification (Security CE, CCNA Security)
- Candidate must possess the ability and eligibility to gain access to a secured USG facility
- 2 years as a Window and/or Linux systems administrator
- 2 years’ experience provisioning, operating and maintain systems within the AWS environment.
- Self-starter and self-motivator, ability to perform work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Has worked with the following tools: bash scripting, ssh/scp and yum (pkg/patch management)
- RHEL/CentOS experience
- AWS Console experience
- AWS Certification

- The ability to quickly diagnose and repair issues within systems

- Advanced understanding of operating systems.
- Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
- IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s operating systems.
- Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets.
- System documentation maintenance and review
- Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
Primary Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices
- Perform and test routine system backups and restores
- Test disaster recovery processes.
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct issues
- Monitor system operation and utilization to ensure proper resource allocation
- Practice system and software configuration management
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations.
- Work to minimize manual processes by using automation and modern configuration management tools
- Maintain, improve, and reconfigure network infrastructure (DNS, vpn, proxies, and etc.) to meet the needs of users
- Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users
- Provide Technical Support and Guidance to developers and end-users
- Install and configure Linux OS environments
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain applications (development, support, and production)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Authorization
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis, without sponsorship by employer.
