What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outdoor-Based Summer Educator - Toddler OR Preschool position at Sandwich Montessori School?
Summer learning on our 2-acre campus encompasses art, yoga, gardening, team building activities and games, outdoor dance parties, organic popsicles, nature exploration, water play and just a whole lot of fun!
Our teachers and students get outdoors in all weather and spend as much time outside each day as possible. With lots of space to learn and play, the days are relaxed and child-led, with teachers providing fun and enriching learning opportunities to our students that make lasting memories of amazing Cape Cod summer fun.
Experience summer in our peaceful, shaded outdoor classrooms with a group of students either 0-3 or 3-6 years old. Work with a great team of education professionals, and gain experience in nature-based education program.
If you love children and the outdoors, love to laugh and have fun, and align with the Montessori philosophy of respecting children and allowing them to lead in their learning, we'd love to talk to you!
This is a great position for college students who are interested in education, or child focused careers, and/or have been camp counselors or nature educators. This is also great summer opportunity for anyone in the teaching field, looking to spend your summer with amazing students and teachers learning and playing outside. Experience working with children is required. EEC credentials (previous experience 3 credits in Child Development) are a strong plus but not required for all hires.
