Forestdale School is looking for a full-time Reading Interventionist for the 2022-2023 school year.
Qualifications:
- Classroom teaching experience, minimum 5 years preferred
- Current DESE teaching license appropriate for Prek-2nd grade, Reading certification preferred
Essential Duties and Resonsibilities (indlude but not limited to):
Supporting Tier II and Tier III Reading Instruction.
- Provide direct instructionin one to one or small group settings to students identified as eligible for reading intervention services
- Use formal and informal assessment data to guide student achievement of the MA Frameworks
- Use a variety of programs or materials to support the needs of individual students to achieve the content standards
- Create a classroom environment of growth mindset, persistence, and enthusiasm for the subject
- Maintain records of reading and math intervention services, working with the content specialist, coach, or administrator supporting intervention
- Assess student progress and provide progress reports as needed
- Work collaboratively with Literacy or Math Coach and/or Reading or Math Specialists on programming, data, schedules and instruction
- Assist in data collection, management and analysis
- Participate in data team meetings as needed
- Assist in the administration of all benchmark assessments
- Work collaboratively with the Content Specialist and staff to provide a support schedule
- Participate in special education meetings or parent conferences as requested
- Maintain and improve professional competence through participation in all professional development activities
- Other duties as requested by the principal or Assistant Superintendent/Curriculum Director
