What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Marketing and Sales position at Sandy Creek Farms?
Sandy Creek Farms in Springville, Tennessee is looking for a very hard-working and motivated employee to fill their director of marketing & sales position. We are a premier wedding venue located in northwestern Tennessee, and we are looking for the right person to make Sandy Creek Farms be a household name in Tennessee, and beyond!
This person’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Taking video of weddings and other events held at the farm.
- Editing video.
- Posting videos and other marketing materials to social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
- Writing/posting/managing ads to our Google advertising account.
- Responding to and interacting with potential clients through our website, social medias, Wedding Wire, and The Knot (wedding marketing platforms).
- Scheduling/managing tours, meeting with prospective clients, giving them physical tours of the facilities (and Zoom tours), as well as helping to close the sale.
This position requires the employee to work on-site, as well as traveling within the region to promote our venue through direct marketing, as well as attending trade shows. Off-site work would include an area that encompasses a 125 mile radius of Springville, TN. Remote working from home is NOT permitted for this position.
This is a salaried position that pays $55,000 per year, PLUS commission, and requires an average of 50 hours per week of work throughout the year. Most weddings occur on the weekend, so this requires our marketing director to attend these events to record video, as well as help the venue staff in other ways.
The candidate for this position must be very comfortable with people, sales, be presentable (both in appearance and attire worn), charismatic, and be as comfortable in front of the camera as they are behind the camera. This person’s entire goal/focus at our company will be to promote the farm, bring broad awareness to our brand, and to increase revenue through their direct and indirect marketing efforts.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
- Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics
- Proficient in copywriting with the ability to create engaging content.
- Familiarity with HTML for web content management.
- Experience with marketing automation tools is a plus.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Strong social media marketing skills to enhance online presence.
- Proven sales experience with a focus on achieving targets.
