Sandy Pine is a multigenerational, family-owned farming operation based in Nebraska. We provide the most elite swine genetics available within the industry, across the United States and abroad. Program Objective:
Our high school student Intern program provides hands-on, real-life experience within a variety of areas like swine production (sow farms), genetic centers (boar studs), feed processing (feed mill), farm maintenance, transportation and office environments. The experience gives the student the opportunity to gain knowledge about the swine industry and discover potential long-term career opportunities within our company. The skills acquired during the program will provide a baseline of knowledge to build upon in the future.
Program Options:
- Part-Time: Year-Round
- COE: School Year
- Summer Intern: June through August
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Age 16 or older (age 15 permitted in non-safety sensitive positions).
- Basic understanding of modern pig production practices preferred (not required).
- Self-motivated, good team player, dependable, accountable, and desire to learn all about swine production!
