What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Crew Member/Leader position at Sandy's Landscaping?
Sandy's Landscaping is looking to hire experienced or inexperienced seasonal landscape crew members. Sandy's is looking for hard working, self-motivated, goal oriented, punctual individuals that can handle, hot, humid, cold, wet, dusty, muddy conditions. Two years or more of experience as a professional landscape crew member is preferred. The following skills and responsibilities are needed.
- Installing edge using a nursery spade or power edger
- Spreading mulch evenly
- Proper weeding techniques and attention to detail when cleaning out plantings beds
- Proper tree, shrub, and plant installation skills
- Able to hook up and back up a landscape trailer
- Able to pick up 50 pounds daily
- Cleaning up after completion of an installation
- Cleaning out work trucks and equipment daily
- General knowledge of landscaping tools (shears, chainsaw, blower, edger, hand tools, etc.)
- Time management, leadership skills, task designation
- Communicating with crew members and customers effectively
- Positive attitude, lead by example, problem solving, maintaining strong work ethics
- Filling out work logs, turning in purchase orders
- Training new employees how to properly use tools and equipment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
