What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Associate - Pet Supplies position at Sandy's Pet Food Center?
Sandy's Pet Food Center is a locally owned, retail pet food store in Concord, N.H. that deals directly with animal owners regarding their pet’s health and overall quality of life.
Initial responsibilities include processing register transactions, restocking shelves in the retail area, and receiving deliveries into the warehouse. Opportunities will increase to customer service, sales, and potentially leadership with training.
Some Key Traits We're Looking For:
- Ability to balance customer service and workload, and prioritize efficiently
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and hard-working individual
- Desire to contribute to a team effort to create a friendly and confident working environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while still providing good customer service
- Interest in learning about various products- food/health information, supplement/health information, bones, toys, etc- and to use that information to help guide customers toward the best choices for the health of their pets.
- Ability to Lift 40lbs repeatedly, with ease
We are offering a part-time position of 20-30 hours with various shifts ranging from 9:30am-7:00pm.
A full-time position would be considered for applicants seeking a long-term job who have previous experience in the Pet Industry or Retail Environment.
Open availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays is required.
Previous experience in retail is required.
Previous experience in the pet industry is preferred.
Pay will be based on experience.
