The Buyer is fashion-savvy, passionate about keeping up with the latest styles, and making them affordable for everyone! The Buyer is expected to maintain inventory quality and needs, motivate team members, and ensure customer satisfaction by providing services efficiently and building relationships.
This is a full-time or part-time position. Availability must include weekends. This not a temporary or seasonal position - we are seeking candidates for long-term employment. Starting at $13/hour with opportunity to move into management and grow with a company.
Other positions available - Sales Associate starting at $13/hr, Marketer/manager starting at $15, asst. store manager starting at $15/hr
Key responsibilities include:
- Follows store policies and procedures
- Ensures customers feel welcomed and appreciated by having a compassionate, enthusiastic attitude and providing a speedy, streamlined experience
- Develops familiarity with store inventory, needs, and prices by regularly sorting through items that customers sell to the store and understanding of store inventory
- Appropriately takes in and prices items based on guidelines learned through hands-on experience
- Maintains store housekeeping and an organized store environment
Ideal candidates require:
- Strong knowledge of current styles, trends, and brands. The Buyer Associate is fashion-forward.
- Knowledge and regular use of social media platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous retail experience, but will train the right candidate
- Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly
- Can work with a team and follow policies
- Basic computer and typing skills with ability to use and understand Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to and comfortable with sorting through items that customers drop off to sell
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25lbs
- Much of the day will require a combination of standing, walking, sitting, using your hands/fingers, bending, lifting, pulling, kneeling.
