SandyPines is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Accounts Representative.
The Patient Accounts Representative assists the Business Office Director in the billing and collections for the facility and in assuring prompt payment of accounts.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Keys patient accounts receivable information into the system and uploads it to the needed portals.
- Verify benefits with insurance carriers.
- Calculate patient’s deductible and co-insurance payments to the Hospital.
- Electronically submits billing and monitors their payment processing.
- Complete collection calls as directed by supervisor.
- Completes data entry as required.
- Review accounts for delinquencies and make follow up calls.
- Provides clerical support including answering phones and filing for Business Office Director when necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with at least three years previous experience working in a collection position or in a doctor’s office or hospital business office.
- Medical billing experience is required.
- Detail oriented and ability to successfully multi task in a fast pace environment.
