Sandy Pines is seeking a dynamic and talented Staff Coordinator full time Position.
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all mental health tech and nurses. To meet the needs of each unit, state standards, FTE requirements according to census while assuring quality patient care and safety.
Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center is a 149-bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. The facility is in beautiful South Florida, nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson State Park and just minutes away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Qualifications:
High school or equivalent and at least one year experience as a mental health tech. The position requires excellent computer and customer service experience. Working knowledge of word and excel required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and posts schedule for nursing staff on a monthly basis.
- Assures consistent staffing on each unit to maximize milieu effectiveness.
- Assures that minimal overtime is utilized to adequately staff units.
- Staffs units as efficiently as possible while assuring quality patient care and safety.
- Coordinates time off, vacation and sick leave requests to assure that vacancies are filled.
- Consults with Unit RN, Nursing Manager of Administrator when the need arises.
- Ensures proper staffing and planning of all patient outings and transports (i.e., medical/legal and other appointments).
- Schedules staff for in-services and mandatory trainings, in conjunction with HR Director.
- Sets appropriate and therapeutic redirection and limits of resident’s behavior, timeouts, seclusion/restraints with minimal assistance from the Registered Nurse. Monitors that residents on assignment time are completing assignments. Assists with planning outings with C.T. and R.N.
