As a Sanel NAPA Auto Parts Specialist , you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go to person as soon as our customers enter our retail stores for all their automotive needs. The Auto Parts Specialist at Sanel NAPA is responsible for the maintenance and sale of inventory that provides automotive parts, equipment and supplies. Duties include maintaining detailed records of inventory and overseeing the timely delivery of parts to and from their location. Essential Functions :
Prioritize safety and security in all tasks, actively participating in safety huddles, following the Safety Handbook, and ensuring a secure and organized work environment.Deliver exceptional customer care by assisting retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service inquiries, both in person and over the phone.Leverage your auto parts knowledge to provide accurate solutions and support fellow team members in addressing customer needs.Create a welcoming, positive experience for all retail customers visiting our Sanel NAPA store.Bring energy and a customer-focused attitude to our fast-paced environment.Utilize technology, including computers, cash registers, credit card machine, telephones, and paper catalog systems, to efficiently assist customers and process transactions.Operate the TAMS system for point-of-sale transactions, invoicing, and cash drawer management.Understand and apply customer pricing methods specific to the store.Ensure customers receive the correct part the first time.Manage delivery routes and ensure timely order fulfillment.Maintain and track special orders and back-order systems.Support store operations by opening or closing the store as needed, after receiving proper training.Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to store success.Education & Experience :
Minimum age 18 years of age with High School Diploma or GED required, Technical or Trade School courses or degree preferred.Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.Motor Vehicle Record check required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and video use (Zoom / Teams).Effective communication and written skills.Must be flexible and able to operate in a team environment.Able to diagnose problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and resolve a variety of operational issues ranging from ordinary to complex.Able to Interpret and explain instructions.Ability to respond rapidly and effectively to changing requirements on short notice.Personal qualities of flexibility, integrity, and confidentiality.Acts in a professional manner by approaching others in a tactful manner; reacting well under pressure; treating others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepting responsibility for own actions, following through on commitments.Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and employees.Strong leadership qualities and the ability to complete assignments with little supervisory oversight.Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to :
Wear the proper personal protective equipment for each task, including, but not limited to, safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, dust mask, etc.Regularly lift and / or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move 40 pounds.Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, or handle objects, tools, and controls.Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs regularly.Ability to bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel or crouch frequently.Ability to talk and / or hear frequently. The ability to accurately hear customers and Team Members. Ability to listen to and communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
