Job Summary :
The Facilities Technician at Sanel NAPA is responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical structure of buildings and grounds, working closely with the Director of Facilities. Key duties include responding to building systems work orders, performing carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs, and conducting routine preventive maintenance. The Facilities Technician must be a proactive self-starter who can independently assess maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and complete work with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative are essential to ensuring the functionality of all facilities. Safety is a top priority, with the Facilities Technician addressing safety concerns and adhering to company protocols to ensure a secure environment for all employees.
Essential Functions :
Uphold the highest safety standards and follow all safety policies.Demonstrates a commitment to providing high-level customer serviceRespond to a variety of building systems work orders.Perform carpentry duties from frame to finish.Repair and replacement of windows, doors and building hardware.Painting and drywall repair.Assist stores with building shelving and fixtures.Basic Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Appliance Repair.Perform routine preventive maintenance on company assets.Address safety issues to avoid injuries.Perform site inspections and report findings back to Director of Facilities for correction.Monitor contractors to ensure contract compliance.Operates power tools and equipment.Coordinates tools and materials needed for various projects.Communicates start dates and project progress to tenants and management.Self-starter with the ability to direct subordinates effectively.General cleaning of all facilitiesTravel in company vehicle to Stores and Properties throughout NH, VT, southern ME.Obey all state and federal laws to safely operate company vehicle at all times.Maintains grounds through activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse. Shovels snow and removes ice from walkways.Delivers parts as needed.Possesses the ability to get along well with other employees, to follow directions and to work independently.Other duties may be assigned.Education & Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid Drivers License with acceptable driving record.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports.Ability to speak effectively one on one to vendors or employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and vendors.
