Core Duties:

- Assist in training other team members as needed
- Attend the in house preconstruction meeting
- Coordinate all utility locates before and during construction
- Proof plans for underground conflicts prior to underground construction
- Communicate production goals to team members in the field
- Schedule resources as needed for projects
- Communicate resource needs with division head
- Maintain a project schedule
- Ensure that we only perform the items that are in our scope of work
- Schedule subcontractors in advance of work
- Monitor the quality of subcontracted work
- Order materials/schedule delivery as needed
- Collect delivery tickets from the Project Superintendent and apply appropriate cost codes to them
- Turn in coded delivery tickets to accounts payable on a weekly basis
- Approve invoices in a timely manner
- As work orders are received from the Project Superintendent, review and forward them to the Division Administrative Assistant
- Assist the estimating team with change orders
- Measure/track quantities and cost
- Maintain project budgets
- Coordinate monthly estimates with the Contract Administrator
- Monitor the use of overtime
- Work to eliminate unnecessary trips and labor costs on weather days
- Communicate with engineers or owners to resolve issues
- Coordinate with local authorities on work and inspections
- Coordinate the project closeout documentation with the Project Superintendent and Division Administrative Assistant
- Ensure our projects maintain a professional appearance at all time
- Ensure all team members abide by company policy
- Be willing to go the extra mile with surges in workloads
- Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice
- Willingness to work hours as required
Education/Training/Certification:
- OSHA Supervisor Training
- MSHA Part 46 Training
- Level II Erosion Control Supervisor
- Trenching and Shoring Competent Person
- WZ Traffic Control Supervisor
- Rigging
- First Aid/CPR
