Job Summary
Responsible for the development of projects, strategies and business ventures for research operations.
Apply advanced technical knowledge of research operations, along with external market practices to solve highly complex challenges. Guide Sanford Research in the identification and meeting of emerging health-related research opportunities.
Work collaboratively with research and health services leadership to engage appropriate stakeholders for the advancement of strategic operational plans that align with enterprise goals, and provide financial guidance and oversight.
Responsible for fulfilling duties of the designated executive leadership in event of absence.
Play a leading role in developing and updating the policies and procedures for research, affirming the integrity of the research process. Provide leadership to define, create, facilitate, manage and oversee the research infrastructure, to include; research equipment, research supply chain and research information technology.
Manage and oversee research facilities. Provide leadership and project management for the long-term facilities design and planning in consultation with senior leadership.
Establish and manage necessary and appropriate research safety and compliance policies.
Provide business support, to include; project management, budgeting, external engagement and contracting support to facilities. Promote interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research.
Qualifications
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Administration (MHA) or a master's degree in a related field required.
A demonstrated record of significant career progression, culminating in a senior management position required. A minimum of ten years of health care or scientific management experience and experience in an executive role preferred.
