Job Details

  • General job duties include providing high quality images through the operation of specialized equipment.
  • Types of procedures required include vascular angiograms, biopsies, drainages, tube placements, injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, thrombectomy, embolization's, endovascular procedures, central lines, and dialysis catheters.
  • Works to minimize the risk and duration of recovery to patients, imitating life support measures as necessary.
  • Adheres to the Safety and Infection Control Policies established by Sanford Health.
  • Possesses an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and take after hour call when needed.

    • Job Requirements

  • Trained in an Interventional Radiology Setting with a minimum of 1 year experience as an IR tech.
  • Specific licensures and certifications required include BLS, ARRT, and NDMIRT.

    • Schedule Information

  • Call is required for IR, with shifts consisting of 10 hour or 8 hour shifts, starting from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 30 PM.
  • Every 3-4th weekend (Friday 5 : 30 PM to Monday 7 : 00 AM) and up to 3 call shifts during the week (5 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM).

    • Unit Specific Information

  • 2 weeks of training and orientation program, with the possibility to come off orientation if validated prior.
