Job Title: Student Success Center Facilitator
Sanford High School is seeking an energetic and personable individual who thrives in a collaborative professional atmosphere to help transition high school students back into the classroom following an extended absence.
This position requires someone who enjoys building strong rapport with students, has excellent communication skills, and understands the social-emotional needs of students and Restorative Practices, while effectively managing and academically supporting a small group of students transitioning back into the classroom.
The ideal candidate will work with administration, counselors, and teachers on a daily basis, providing support to students who may need a quiet working environment outside the classroom for a short period of time. This is an Ed Tech III position, which requires direct supervision of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with students and staff to determine academic needs of the individual.
- Uses technology to follow and document student progress on a daily basis.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate attendance.
- Informs school counselors, administration, and staff of student progress.
- Facilitates social emotional and restorative opportunities for students with school discipline issues.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and teachers.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to use Google platform to organize and share data.
