Job Title : MFM Ultrasound Technician

Job Specialty : Reproductive Medicine Clinic

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days (Negotiable : 5 days a week for 8 hours or 4 days a week for 10 hours)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : 5 years in OB / GYN ultrasound; MFM experience preferred but not required

License : Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA required)

Must-Have : Willingness to work in an infertility clinic, graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate / Diploma, or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience

Job Description :

• Responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
• Thoroughly understand the operation of the ultrasound machine and utilize new technologies.
• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including transvaginal dating scans, nuchal translucency, anatomical surveys (low risk and high risk), follow-up growth scans, BPPs, umbilical artery dopplers, middle cerebral dopplers, possible fetal echocardiograms, transvaginal gynecological evaluations, follicular exams, saline infusion sonograms, ultrasound-guided procedures (IUD insertions).
• Work alongside two perinatologists who interpret all obstetrical exams.
• Perform high-risk obstetrical ultrasounds for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic and gynecological exams for a Women's Health Clinic.
• Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art equipment.
• Collaborate with a team of 15 registered sonographers to provide excellent patient care.
• Equipment utilized includes GE Voluson E10 machines and EMR system EPIC.
• Dress code : Grey or charcoal scrubs.
• Participate in a 2-week orientation, including learning protocols, workflows, EMR training, and structured reporting training.
