We are seeking a dedicated Hospice Resource Nurse to join our dynamic team and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Sangre de Cristo Community Care is the Southern Colorado leader in enhancing the quality of life and maintaining the integrity of individuals and their families in need of supportive or end-of-life services by offering symptom management, support, comfort, and compassion.
As a Resource Nurse you will assist the care team by providing and directing the provision of nursing care, based on agency policy and procedures, through the competent application of the nursing process. Provides coverage for patients and assists with intakes as needed. You will work a rotating 3-day, 12-hour shift schedule, allowing for flexibility and ample time off.

Requirements
- Is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Colorado State Board of Nursing
- At least two years’ general nursing experience is preferred with current Hospice/Home Health, medical, surgical, or critical care experience. Has experience providing good pain / symptom management. IV Skills required.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Proven capability to manage detailed information.
- Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
- Has excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills. Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner.
- Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team (IDT)
- Must understand the hospice philosophy.
- Must Show Proof of a Tuberculin Skin Test (PPD), TB blood test, and/or CXR, or get one upon employment (An annual assessment for symptoms must be completed thereafter). Annual influenza vaccine is required.
- Proof of immunizations for MMR (X 2 if born after 1957), D/T and Varicella is recommended, but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of Colorado.
