Tooling Operations Technician
Location: Hogansville, GA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime & weekends may be required)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Tooling Operations Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring, assembling, setting up, and maintaining cutting tools used in CNC machines. Utilizing a dedicated presetting machine, you will ensure optimal tool performance, precision, and efficiency before tools are integrated into production. Your key responsibilities will include tool inspection, measurement, inventory management, and documentation to minimize machine downtime and enhance overall manufacturing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Pre-setting: Assemble and dismantle tooling such as end mills, drills, and inserts.
- Tool Measurement: Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure tool accuracy.
- Tool Inspection: Check tools for wear, damage, and proper functionality before use.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of tool usage, lifecycle, and replacements.
- Tool Preparation: Clean and securely position tools before placing them in the presetting machine.
- Calibration Checks: Regularly verify the accuracy of measuring equipment.
- Production Support: Assist production teams by preparing pre-set tools for machine changeovers.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve tool-related issues to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and tool tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adherence to company safety procedures and protocols.
- Physical capability to lift and handle tools up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in tool setting, CNC machining, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of tool materials (e.g., carbide, high-speed steel) and cutting geometries.
- Technical certifications in machining, tool setting, or precision measurement.
- Associate’s degree or vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field.
Additional Requirements:

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
