Worker's Compensation Coordinator
Sanitation Specialists is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and bilingual professional to join our Corporate Safety Team. As the Worker's Compensation Coordinator , you will play a critical role in supporting injured employees, managing claims, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role demands proactive communication, confidentiality, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Location : Remote (with occasional travel to U.S. facilities, including 3rd shift hours)
Compensation : 70 - 85K DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management :
Lead and coordinate incident investigations in partnership with on-site management teams.
Distribute and manage the Workers’ Compensation packet for on-site teams.
Collaborate with third-party Workers’ Compensation Administrators (TPA) and insurance brokers to file and manage claims, ensuring progress and regulatory compliance.
Review medical evaluations and treatment plans with healthcare providers.
Oversee Return-to-Work programs in partnership with TPAs and medical providers.
Conduct daily and quarterly claim reviews with TPAs, focusing on timely resolution.
Serve as the main point of contact for injured employees, providing updates on work status reports and care directions.
Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and establish filing systems.
Process auto accident claims through third-party carriers.
File safety training documents and distribute weekly incident logs and annual safety schedules.
Prepare and distribute monthly reports and presentations.
Arrange travel for the Corporate Safety Team.
Attend and participate in scheduled meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Safety & Risk Management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 2 years of Workers’ Compensation experience.
Incident investigation experience is required.
Bilingual (required).
Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
Strong emotional intelligence and customer service orientation.
Excellent writing skills for reports and presentations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with tools like WinTeam, Dynamics 365, and Expensify.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
Availability for occasional overnight travel to U.S. facilities and flexibility to work 3rd shift hours as needed.
