POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for the effective management and the resolution of internal and external product failures, key performance responsibilities for the position include timely completion of containment and root cause analysis / corrective action for internal and external quality related issues with particular attention to repeat issues. Also responsible for managing customer satisfaction ratings and the continual improvement of these metrics through strong problem-solving technique and the development of preventative activities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead company activity in resolving customer driven quality issues – coordinating a team approach to problem solving and the training of techniques to enhance overall team member problem solving abilities.
Generate company performance metric reports including customer satisfaction ratings, internal / external rejection data, and cost of quality information.
Metric analysis to identify and facilitate continuous improvement efforts in product and process performance.
Product Warranty analysis, customer liaison and improvement activity co-ordination.
Lead and support product and process FMEA’s, process flow mapping and control plan development to support robust process design for new and existing products.
Development of systems to enhance preventative actions that further enhance current and future product development and performance.
Co-ordinate the activities of our customer Based QE’s and the timely response to concerns
Monitor supplier performance and co-ordinate supplier corrective actions where required
Participate in the LPA system and conduct Process audits to IATF16949 requirements.
SPECIFICATIONS :
Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by subordinates, peers, and superiors, and must be willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
Must have at least 10 years Quality experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
Must have strong computer literacy and be familiar with OEM portal access
Requires a commitment to continuous improvement in order to meet ever increasing demands for improved quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Ability to communicate effectively with the Manufacturing Operations Team as well as the Executive Management team.
Excellent problem-solving skills of both the interpersonal, and the technical side of the operation.
Organized and structured approach to the work environment, with strong attention to details.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Ability to handle stressful employee situations, and to treat people with respect.
Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
