Material Handler 3rd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling and storage of all raw and secondary materials as required on the back side of the presses. Also responsible for housekeeping of the back aisle storage areas and the raw material storage area, as well as the maintenance of the press hoppers, Weigh Blenders and Accu-feed units, and the grinders.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employees will be trained to all applicable company standards as identified on the company training matrix TR-401

1. Employee will be trained to the company standards using the following process flow (s): NC201,CU302, MD330, HR301, ST301

2. Provide raw and secondary material setup and support.

3. Responsible for setting up, labeling, and removing all scrap containers.

4. Must ensure maximum regrind consumption on all machines.

5. Must ensure the proper operation of the press material hoppers, dryers, Weigh-Blenders and Accu-Feed units, including cleaning of filters and preventive maintenance. Ensure the proper operation of all grinders, including cleaning and preventive maintenance.

6. Assist Mold Setters as required during mold change.

7. Perform minor process problem troubleshooting.

8. Organization and cleanliness of all areas listed above.

9. Reweigh or count all materials removed from the work cell, update quantity in Plex and print new label at the completion of each job run.

9. Other assignments as designated by the Process Tech/Shift supervisor.

SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Requires commitment to continuous improvement in order to meet ever increasing demands for improved quality, cost, and delivery performance.

2. High school diploma or minimum 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience is required.

3. Ability to stand for 12 hours

4. No prior experience in material handling is necessary, but preferred. Training will be provided by the company.

5. Must pass a standard company math/language proficiency exam with a 70% or better.

6. The ability to communicate effectively with operators, other support staff, the Shift Supervisor, and the Process Tech.

7. Must have a valid State issued driver’s license and be an approved driver in accordance with the company’s driving policy.

8. Good attention to detail, and the ability to determine if a part meets quality requirements.

9. Ability to obtain a fork lift license and to safely handle materials. Hand’s on Fork Truck training will be provided and confirmed via a written and driving test.

10. Ability to handle stressful employee situations in an effective manner.

11. Treat all employees in a consistent, fair, and respectful manner.

12. Ability to excel in a team-based environment.

13. Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Material Handler-B reports to the Shift Supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,320.00 - $35,880.00 per year
