Production Supervisor
Job Purpose :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of electrical and mechanical assembly operators, ensuring that production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The supervisor plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The supervisor is also responsible for allocating personnel, material, and equipment resources to meet production schedules; monitoring performance; adjusting resources as necessary; and coordinating with other Manufacturing Departments (i.e. Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Materials) to obtain necessary support.
Nature of Duties :
- Supervise and lead a team of electrical and mechanical operators in the assembly, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment is optimized for efficient manufacturing processes
- Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets
- Monitor output against schedule and adjust resources (personnel, equipment) as necessary
- Work with Operations Manager to develop manpower forecast and schedules
- Troubleshoot production problems including material, equipment and customer specifications
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide timely feedback and coaching for continous improvement
- Collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, Maintenance and other manufacturing departments to identify problem areas and align activities with production goals
- Monitor production processes and quality control measures to ensure product quality standards are met
- Provide guidance on technologies, establish performance goals, and ensure team is well-trained on manufacturing processes and operations
- Develop and execute corrective action as necessary to address issues
- Ensure safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of machinery and equipment are performed on a regular basis
- Manage data pipelines to gather and analyze manufacturing data for insights into production performance, quality, and resource utilization
