Job Purpose:
Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with engineering in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Be a leader of group of Process Engineers/Process engineering technicians/Programmers in a fast pace NPI manufacturing environment. Assist Process and Manufacturing Engineers in Development and implement tooling, process, product documentation/process instructions required for the projects of advanced technology nature PCBA and system integration. Has to be able to mentor and guide startup engineers in developing new manufacturing processes.Participate in new process development(complex components/PCB). Qualify new equipment for current or new processes. Guide team of process engineers to develop and execute validation protocols utilizing IQ/OQ/PQ methodology for different customers. Lead projects of advanced technology nature, conduct DOE, compile/analyse reliability lab reports .Help Process engineers in troubleshootig SMT/TH/conformal coating/dispensing defects, provide solutions to process technicians and engineers in the above mentioned area and resolve quality defects. Provide DFA/DFM feedback to customers and post build reports. Train personnel responsible for product integration/PCBA SMT processes/Coating and underfill operations. Coordinate time study, line set up, line balancing/ line capacity and other process improvement related projects, and write reports. Must be detail oriented, team player, flexible and decision maker and self-starter with strong interpersonal skill. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. In concert with quality organization, ensures that customer requirements are implemented and met. Exercise leadership in driving new product introduction processes. Candidates must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changes, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in the fast pace environment.
Education and Experience:
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in management of PCBA/system integration/chemical process engineering projects or equivalent.
-Technical leader in the PCBA assembly advanced technology projects
-Mentor/lead process engineers/technicians/programmers
-Conformal coating/Underfill/polymerics dispensing experience is a plus. Experienced with conformal/underfill processes/materials/equipments
-Equipment/Process qualification experience in the above mentioned areas. IQ/OQ/PQ in the PCBA processes.
-Work with Reliability lab to sanitize processes. Present reports and produce Product Qualification/Process qualification reports.
-Work with DFA engineers to present DFA/Post Build reports to customers. Knowledge of a DFA software and knowledge of Sanmina or industry design rule sets.
- Familiar with Lean initiative. Lean Six Sigma certification and/or training desired

Salary Range(annual): $96,800 - $155,000
