Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate cash register and Aloha POS system efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Uphold café standards by following proper procedures for inventory management and stock replenishment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards in the café.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
